Kevin Love was not looking for high-five from LeBron James

Kevin-Love-LeBron

LeBron James and Kevin Love have not exactly been best friends since the two teamed up together in Cleveland, but that doesn’t mean LeBron gave Love a lecture instead of a high-five on Tuesday night.

At first glance, we — like many others — thought Love was looking for a high-five from LeBron during the first quarter of Game 5, only to have LeBron seemingly scold him about something. But when you watch the full clip, it looks more like Love and LeBron were having an animated discussion about the previous possession.

As Kyle Koster of The Big Lead pointed out, Andre Iguodala scored on a layup just before the timeout. The basket was made possible by two offensive rebounds from the Warriors, so the exchange between Love and LeBron more than likely had to do with that.

There have been plenty of times where the relationship between James and Love has seemed icy, to say the least. It could still be that way, but it’s pretty clear LeBron wasn’t blatantly snubbing his teammate during an NBA Finals game.
