LeBron James bowed to Jim Brown before Game 3 (Video)

LeBron James is currently trying to do something that no player since Jim Brown has done in almost 50 years — bring a championship to the city of Cleveland. Just before Game 3 of the NBA Finals tipped off on Tuesday night, LeBron honored the man with whom he hopes to one day share a lot in common.

LeBron stopped in front of Brown, who was sitting courtside, and paid tribute to him with a bow.

Brown had nothing but positive things to say about LeBron during a recent interview with William C. Rhoden of the New York Times.

“For him to have to have the ability to deal with the politics of being back in Cleveland, dealing with the politics of his own team, I have great admiration for what I see as a great contribution by a human being on and off the field,” Brown said. “The way he expresses himself, the way that he plays, and the understanding that he has of what his role is, is very refreshing. It’s rare for a man that young to have that kind of wisdom.”

By leading his team to a victory in Game 3, LeBron pulled to within two wins of becoming one of the most heroic sports figures in Cleveland history. He may not win as many titles as Michael Jordan, but all James needs is one championship in Cleveland to write one of the greatest redemption stories of all time.
