Mark Cuban pretends not to know DeAndre Jordan during interview (Video)

Mark Cuban

With the DeAndre Jordan saga now behind them, the Mavericks have moved on, trading for Zaza Pachulia on Thursday to fill a need at center. By Saturday, Mark Cuban had forgotten all about the guy who send the basketball world into a frenzy earlier in the week.

During an interview while his Mavs were playing a summer league game, Cuban was asked to talk about Jordan and the events of this past week. Cuban responded, “Who? I have no idea who you’re talking about. I’m trying to figure out who you’re talking about.” A wry smile later accompanied a “what’s done is done man.”

No one will soon forget DeAndre Jordan verbally committing to sign with the Mavericks only to have a change of heart and return to the Clippers, the only franchise he’s played for. It was among the more bizarre free agent stories the NBA has seen. It led to an emoji battle, a feud between Cuban and Chris Broussard, and a perceived fake apology.

For now, as Cuban said, what’s done is done and it’s time for both franchises to move on with business as usual. However, when the Clippers head to Dallas to play the Mavericks, you can bet intensity will be ratcheted up a bit.
