Sacramento Kings big man Marvin Bagley III will miss at least another three weeks due to his foot injury, the team announced on Thursday.
Here is the statement issued by the Kings:
“Kings forward Marvin Bagley III (left midfoot sprain) continues to progress through the reconditioning process, under the supervision of the team’s physicians and in coordination with foot specialist Dr. Martin O’Malley at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He recently incorporated stationary shooting and partial-weight bearing conditioning activities into his regimen, in addition to ongoing strength work. An update regarding Bagley’s status will be provided in three weeks.”
Bagley has missed time consistently this season due to his foot injury, and before that, a thumb injury. The 20-year-old has only played in 13 games this season, averaging 14.2 points and 7.5 rebounds in those contests. The Kings are only 21-33 this season, which is below their expectations.
This has been a rough run for Bagley, who also missed 20 games in his rookie season.
