Scottie Pippen describes ‘surreal’ part of Kobe Bryant tribute
Scottie Pippen has been making the rounds paying tribute to Kobe Bryant since the former Laker’s shocking death on Sunday, and made an interesting admission as a result.
Pippen appeared on “Good Morning America” on Monday as part of ongoing coverage of Bryant’s death. Pippen wore a Bryant jersey while appearing on the broadcast. Later, he admitted that it was the first time he’d worn a jersey other than his own.
The first time I’ve even worn a basketball jersey other than my own. It’s still so surreal. https://t.co/1wFbtmvmwH

This speaks to the respect for Bryant within the basketball community. You won’t see guys like Pippen wearing just any jersey no matter the circumstances, and his tribute and reflections are very touching as well. It’s no wonder he was one of the first to pay tribute after news of Bryant’s death broke.
