Because he was a restricted free agent, the Spurs had the opportunity to retain Anderson by matching the offer sheet. Instead, Anderson will now become a Memphis Grizzlies player, where he is likely to start at small forward.
Anderson, 24, averaged 7.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game last season. He was a 2014 first-round pick by the Spurs out of UCLA.
