Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has a reputation for being a measured and deep thinker. His thoughts on the presidential election results reflect that.
Kerr shared his thoughts Wednesday on Donald Trump winning the election and said the result was “tough” because of what went on during Trump’s campaign. He also said the result was a microcosm of where society has gone in terms of prioritizing entertainment over everything. You can read/see his comments below:

Kerr’s opinion certainly was strong but not quite as extreme as Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy, who shared concern about the country electing trump.
“I don’t think anybody can deny this guy is openly and brazenly racist and misogynistic,” Van Gundy said. “We have just thrown a good part of our population under the bus, and I have problems with thinking this is where we are as a country.”
That was just a sample of Van Gundy’s comments. He also said he was ashamed.
