Sixers still open to trading Jahlil Okafor
Jahlil Okafor survived the 2017 trade deadline and most of the summer without being dealt by Philadelphia, but he’s far from out of the woods.
Sixers head coach Brett Brown said Wednesday that the team will once again gauge “what’s out there” for Okafor, per Keith Pompey of the Philly Inquirer.

Philly seemed intent on moving the 21-year-old at last season’s deadline but couldn’t find a deal. One would think Okafor’s improved physical condition this offseason and the ongoing uncertainty over Joel Embiid’s health would lower the Sixers’ resolve to trade the Duke product, but that does not appear to be the case. Regardless, Okafor largely lacks the skillset of a modern NBA big man, so they may not be able to fetch much of a return for him anyway.
