Usain Bolt calls Sean Kilpatrick ‘the future of basketball’
Usain Bolt is warning you not to sleep on a little-known Brooklyn Nets guard.
The legendary Jamaican sprinter hung out with Sean Kilpatrick over the weekend and declared him “the future of basketball” in a post to his Snapchat account, per Alysha Tsuji of For The Win.

Kilpatrick also called Bolt his mentor in an Instagram post later that night.

The 27-year-old Kilpatrick went undrafted in 2014 and bounced around the D-League before making a pair of 10-day contract stops with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets. He signed with Brooklyn in 2016, finally finding a home there and averaging 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in his last two seasons with them.
It’s safe to say that Bolt, who has made some memorable forays into the basketball world in the past, knows talent when he sees it, so this is as strong of an endorsement as any for Kilpatrick as he enters the prime of his career.
