Kristaps Porzingis appears to have been involved in some sort of physical altercation over the weekend, as the Dallas Mavericks star was spotted with blood coming down his face and on his hand.
Details were initially scarce, but a video that surfaced on Twitter Sunday showed Porzingis walking down the street with blood on his face. He appeared to be angry about something and shoved a woman out of the way at one point. Police could be heard trying to diffuse the situation.
Numerous Twitter users said Porzingis was “jumped” in his hometown, which is in Latvia. Neither the Mavericks nor the NBA had offered any comment on the situation as of Sunday morning.
Porzingis has now made headlines for off-court reasons multiple times since he was traded to Dallas from the New York Knicks, though his attorney insists the allegations that surfaced against him over a month ago are completely baseless.
