The Golden State Warriors just got hit with some tough injury news.
While the Warriors stayed hot on Monday, as they racked up their fourth win in a row by taking down the Miami Heat at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif., 135-112, that wasn’t the story of the evening for the Dubs, with star forward Jimmy Butler suffering a right knee injury midway through the third period of the contest.
Butler appeared to hurt his knee after catching a pass in the paint. He immediately fell to the ground in pain, grabbing his right knee as his teammates and Warriors staff surrounded him.
This is when Jimmy Butler was injured 😔

Hours later, Shams Charania of ESN reported that Butler suffered an ACL tear, which effectively rules him out for the rest of the 2025-26 NBA season.
There was hope Butler had avoided a major injury, but this report clearly shatters that optimism, as the Warriors will now have to find a way to keep their heads above water without one of their most important players.
Before he left the Miami game, Butler had scored 17 points on 6-for-11 shooting. He concludes his second season with the Warriors with averages of 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists in only 28 games played.
With Butler done for the remainder of the campaign, the Warriors will lean more on the likes of Moses Moody, Brandin Podziemski and Hield to provide scoring support behind Stephen Curry, who led Golden State against the Heat with 19 points.
Needless to say, the Warriors’ road to another NBA championship in the Curry-era gets harder amid the latest news on Butler.
