Warriors’ Patrick McCaw stretchered off after hard fall

Golden State Warriors guard Patrick McCaw suffered a scary fall during Saturday’s game against the Sacramento Kings and had to be stretchered off.

McCaw was going up for a layup towards the end of the third quarter when he was undercut by Kings swingman Vince Carter and fell hard on his back. McCaw could be heard crying out in pain, and Carter was visibly distraught as well. Beware of some foul language in the video.

McCaw was down on the floor for several minutes, and players from both teams gathered around him before he was ultimately stretchered off. Anthony Slater of The Athletic added that McCaw had already been suffering from lower back trouble.

Scary moment in Sacramento: Brutal fall for Patrick McCaw. Got undercut on a made layup. Came down on his back/tailbone. He's in some serious pain. Still down. Already was having lower back trouble.

The 22-year-old McCaw is averaging 4.0 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game this season. He had recently been seeing increased minutes for the Warriors with all of the injuries that they have suffered lately.
