Badou Jack suffers nasty cut in middle of head during fight
Boxers suffering cuts on their face during fights is nothing new, but what happened to Badou Jack on Saturday night was unlike something most had ever seen.
Jack was cut in the middle of his head, between his eyes, during the 7th round of his fight against Marcus Browne at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The cut was deep and long and got worse and worse over the ensuing rounds. Blood was spewing across Jack’s face, onto the canvas, and bloodied referee Tony Weeks in the ring.

Jack still managed to get through the entire fight, though he lost to Browne via unanimous decision in their WBC light heavyweight title fight. After his win, Browne was unapologetic about the cut.

We’ve seen plenty of nasty injuries in the ring, and this was right up there.
