Floyd Mayweather Jr. Calls Out Manny Pacquiao to Fight May 5th
It’s funny how Floyd Mayweather Jr. can spend so long coming up with excuses not to fight Manny Pacquiao, but now that he’s ready for the bout, he’s going out of his way to make Pac Man look bad.
Floyd issued a call out to Pacquiao over Twitter Tuesday, saying “Manny Pacquiao I’m calling you out let’s fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see.”
Maybe Floyd’s doing that because he really wants the fight, or maybe he’s doing it to change public perception. Remember, Mayweather was the one who was, in the words of Michael Irvin, making brothers look bad with all the ducking. He took his sweet ass time coming out of retirement and he let Manny take many more hits before finally challenging him.
Even if Floyd is just trying to win a PR game at this point, at least he appears to want the fight. Bob Arum on the other hand is coming up with every excuse possible to keep the two from fighting. He has been one of the biggest reasons the fight has not taken place. He may be the reason it does not go down May 5th like it should.
