Floyd Mayweather objects to Justin Bieber question: That’s racial profiling

Some clueless, nosy reporter showed up to Floyd Mayweather’s press conference in Chicago this week and decided to question his relationship with fellow entertainers Johnny Manziel and Justin Bieber. Floyd didn’t care for the line of questioning and even suggested the woman was “racial profiling.”

Floyd Mayweather Peggy KusinskiFirst NBC Chicago reporter Peggy Kusinski asked Floyd about his relationship with Manziel and Bieber, which was likely in reference to this photo. Then she specifically asked about his relationship with Bieber. Kusinski wanted to know if those are friends or marketing partners.

Kusinski said to Floyd, “people think that’s the oddest match-up — you two together.”

Floyd responded that “that’s kind of racial profiling.”

As soon as Floyd objected to the question, Kusinski tried to quickly spin it and ask what kind of music he listens to.

The whole line of questioning was a clumsy attempt by a clueless reporter to put down Floyd. She has no idea about “The Money Team.” She is clueless about how Floyd builds his brand. And she is clueless about how long Floyd and Bieber have been homies. And while she tries to insinuate Floyd’s friendship with Bieber is fake, she’s the one who comes off as a phony with those patronizing looks and questions. And she’s such a professional journalist that she admitted she was a fan of Floyd and even threw in a “lol” about her question.

Nice going, Peggy.

No, it’s not racial profiling to question how Floyd is friends with Bieber. But the question is an example of you being an insulting member of the square media who clearly does not get it.
