Rapper Lil Wayne scored the prestigious honor of walking boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. to the ring before his championship fight against Robert Guerrero on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
Weezy was dressed in a T-shirt, had sunglasses on, and came out to the ring rapping “No Worries.”
In the past, pop singer/entertainer Justin Bieber has escorted Money to the ring, as has the boxer’s former best friend, rapper 50 Cent. In fact, all three were together with Floyd before the champ’s fight last year against Miguel Cotto.
Weezy’s health was a matter of huge concern recently. In March, there were reports that he had overdosed on codeine and his condition was grave. Those reports were overblown, and Lil Wayne recovered just fine. Now he’s walking Mayweather out to the ring, which is a huge honor.
