Shane Mosley says Canelo Alvarez-GGG set for Sept. 17
There has been a lot of talk about an upcoming fight between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez, but is the bout already scheduled? Shane Mosley says so.
Mosley tweeted a few times on Wednesday to say that Canelo and GGG will be fighting on Sept. 17:
Canelo and GGG Sep17th! Hope no other fight competing with this in Sep. Fight of the year right here. Good job GBP pic.twitter.com/NXRd4YNcUF

Mosley also used his newsworthy tweet as an opportunity to publicize his own May 28 fight.
Y'all didn't know Canelo GGG was finalized? It's a done deal. You heard it first here. My fight is May 28th. Canelo/GGG fight is Sep 17th

Was Mosley just trying to generate attention for his own fight or is he actually breaking some news?
Canelo already shared his interest in making the fight happen, while GGG has been pressuring Alvarez over Twitter.
Canelo’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya even said after Alvarez’s victory over Amir Khan Saturday that the fight with GGG was the one to make and he would start trying to make it happen. September has long been talked about as a potential date for the fight.
Mosley used to a be a partner in Golden Boy Promotions, so it’s not like him having some inside information would be totally unreasonable. Maybe Oscar will make some sort of official announcement before too long.
