LSU player delivers one of the highest bat flips ever

An LSU player flipping their bat

LSU’s Seth Dardar launched his bat to Neptune during Sunday’s game.

Dardar came up to bat in the sixth inning of his team’s game against Kentucky at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field in Baton Rouge, La. LSU was down 10-8 at the time but had two runners on with two outs as Dardar faced Kentucky pitcher Jack Bennett.

The infielder Dardar turned on an 0-1 inside offering from Bennett and golfed it into the right-field seats for a go-ahead home run. In celebration, Dardar chucked his bat to the sky, where it lingered for several seconds before finally landing.

LSU would go on to defeat Kentucky by a final score of 17-10 on Sunday. As for Dardar, that was his third home run of the season through 27 games, so he definitely made sure to make it count.

You very rarely see a player launch his bat skywards as if he is LeBron James doing a chalk toss. But that was exactly what Dardar did during Sunday’s game, and he definitely fared better than this other college ballplayer who was once ejected for a similar bat flip.
