Watch: Urban Meyer’s son makes great catch to send Cincinnati to NCAA Tournament
The Cincinnati Bearcats are headed to the NCAA Baseball Tournament on the back of a fine catch from a player with a rather famous last name.
The Bearcats claimed the AAC title for the first time in program history with a 22-5 victory over UConn on Sunday. The victory ensured that they would make the tournament for the first time since 1974.
While the outcome was not really in doubt toward the end, the Bearcats still recorded the final out in style. Infielder Nate Meyer made a running catch and tumbled into the stands to clinch the conference title — and yes, he is the son of former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer.

Meyer’s mother Shelley couldn’t help but worry a bit about the tumble over the railing while congratulating him.
YAY Nate!!! (Watch out for that rail…). Nice catch! https://t.co/Iet1deu5rw
