The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski added that the two sides were working on a seven-year deal, meaning the Hoosiers are putting a lot of faith in Miller to re-establish the program as an elite one.

Miller, the younger brother of Arizona head coach Sean Miller, is an excellent hire for Indiana. He’s led Dayton to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the Elite Eight back in 2014. This season they went 24-8 and won the Atlantic 10 regular season title under Miller’s guidance.
Miller may not be the flashiest candidate — more high-profile names were also mentioned — but he’s been a successful coach with a good pedigree. Indiana has done well with this hire.
