Buzz Williams reportedly will be introduced as Texas A&M coach on Thursday
Buzz Williams is heading to College Station.
Williams is expected to meet with Texas A&M’s players on Wednesday and then be introduced to the media on Thursday as the Aggies’ new basketball coach. The news comes from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
Sources: Texas A&M is expected to hold a Thursday Press Conference to introduce Virginia Tech's Buzz Williams as its next head basketball coach. Williams is tentatively scheduled to meet with the Aggies' players on Wednesday night.

If this follows the schedule outlined by Rothstein, that would mean Williams would have a new job exactly a week after his Virginia Tech squad lost to Duke in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Williams was always expected to take the Texas A&M job, so the news should not come as a surprise to Hokies fans. Virginia Tech may target Cincinnati’s Mick Cronin for their position. They might have some competition for his services.
Williams is a nice hire for Texas A&M and should help the program achieve results they were expecting under Billy Kennedy.
