Purdue took on Virginia Saturday for a spot in the Final Four, and Carsen Edwards played like a man who knew exactly what was at stake.
The junior guard was on absolute fire in the game, putting up 40 points in regulation. He had a stretch in the second half where he made four straight long-distant shots and single-handedly kept Purdue in the game. They counted on him for basket after basket, and he delivered from further and further beyond the arc each time.
The hot shooting game for Edwards was a continuation of what the junior had done throughout the tournament. He had 26 in the first round, 42 in the second, 29 in the Sweet 16, and 40 through regulation in the Elite Eight.
How’s this for company?
Carsen Edwards is ridiculous.
He's the 1st player in NCAA Tournament history with multiple games of 9+ 3-pt FG.
He's also just the 8th player in NCAA Tournament history with 5 consecutive games with 25+ points. Jerry West has the most consecutive with 8. pic.twitter.com/vhOoxB0PrL

You want more? Edwards’ 28 threes set an NCAA Tournament record — and he did it through just four games. He scored the most points through four games in the NCAA Tournament since Steph Curry at Davidson.
