Duke assistant coach Chris Carrawell appeared to show some poor sportsmanship after his team’s loss to rival North Carolina on Saturday.
The Blue Devils lost 94-81 in what was Mike Krzyzewski’s final home game as Duke’s coach before he retires. Though it was a close game for most of the way, UNC pulled ahead late and finished things off with a 13-point win thanks to making all their free throws down the stretch.
After the game, there was a customary handshake line. But Carrawell appeared to completely snub UNC coach Hubert Davis. You can even see Davis turn around with a puzzled look on his face after Carrawell passed him.

So what was this all about? He definitely blew off Hubert Davis’ handshake. #UNCvsDuke #Sportsmanship pic.twitter.com/XoYQ0xlK8C

Duke assistant coach Nolan Smith followed up Carrawell by shaking Davis’ hand, but he looked away from the coach.
Carrawell is a former Duke player and has been on Mike Krzyzewski’s staff since 2018. Davis played for North Carolina from 1988-1992 and is in his first season as the Tar Heels’ head coach.
