The college basketball coaching carousel is starting to spin quickly ahead of the NCAA Tournament.
On Tuesday, former Stanford Cardinal head coach Jerod Haase was hired as the head coach of UNC Greensboro. CBS insider Jon Rothstein first reported that Haase and UNCG were finalizing a deal, and Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68 later reported on the agreement.

Haase has agreed to a 5-year deal, per source. ⁰⁰Haase, 51, was 126-127 in eight seasons at Stanford (2016-24). He was 80-53 in four seasons at UAB (2012-16) – including an NCAA tourney…
Haase went 80-53 in four seasons at UAB with one NCAA Tournament trip. He then spent eight seasons at Stanford, finishing with a 126-127 record and zero March Madness trips.
Hasse began his coaching career as an assistant at Kansas and then North Carolina before being hired by UAB as the head coach.
There are some times at UNCG, as athletic director Brian Mackin hired Haase at UAB. Now, he hires Haase again, this time at UNCG, which plays in the Southern Conference.
UNC Greensboro failed to make the NCAA Tournament in five seasons under Mike Jones, and now the hope is that Haase can bring them back to March Madness.
