Haas landed hard on the elbow during the second half of the game, but said it was fine afterwards and spoke about playing in Purdue’s second round game on Sunday. Obviously that was misplaced.

Haas averaged 14.9 points per game for the Boilermakers during the season, and was a huge part of their success. His injury severely hinders their Final Four hopes. It’s a huge shame, as he was shaping up to be one of the more interesting characters of the tournament.
