Jaren Jackson still considering return to Michigan State

Jaren Jackson

Jaren Jackson Jr is still considering his future and has not decided whether he will return to school for his sophomore season or enter the NBA draft.

Jackson’s father, former NBA player Jaren Sr., told the Detroit Free Press’ Chris Solari that his son is still weighing his options.

“We are having great ongoing family conversations as Jaren Jr. thinks about his opportunities ahead,” Jackson Sr. told Solari in a text message Thursday. “We are so proud of him to be in this position to have a true choice.”

Jackson is viewed as a potential top 10 pick if he leaves for the draft. His Michigan State teammate Miles Bridges already declared for the draft, so he would be joining him in the pro ranks if he were to declare.

Jackson averaged 10.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and three blocks per game this season as a freshman. He shot 51.3 percent on his field goals, including 39.6 percent on threes.
