A Miami Hurricanes player has as big an appetite for winning–and postgame grub.
Following his team’s 79-69 loss to the No. 2 seed Purdue Boilermakers on Sunday at Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo., Hurricanes star senior Malik Reneau hit the concession stand. He didn’t make himself hard to miss, with the 6-foot-9 forward still donning his team’s colors, while looking for something to satisfy his cravings.

Reneau just wanted to load up on some carbs after playing heavy minutes against the powerful Boilermakers. He played 36 minutes in that contest, scoring 16 points on 6/15 shooting with 5 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists and 1 block. He committed seven turnovers, but he wasn’t letting those miscues ruin his postgame appetite.
Reneau and the Hurricanes can still celebrate the season they just had. For the first time since 2023, Miami punched a March Madness ticket. The Hurricanes won 26 games in Jai Lucas’ first year as their head coach, just a season after the program went 7-24.
Before losing to Matt Painter’s Boilermakers, the No. 7 seed Miami defeated the No. 10 seed Missouri Tigers in the first round, 80-66, with Reneau producing 24 points and grabbing 6 boards.
