Alabama kicker Joseph Bulovas misses 30-yard field goal at end of Iron Bowl
Kicking has always been one of the few weaknesses of Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide, and that is what hurt them on Saturday in the Iron Bowl.
Sophomore kicker Joseph Bulovas missed a 30-yard field goal attempt with two minutes left down 48-45. He hit it off the left upright, giving the ball to Auburn.

Alabama still had two timeouts and a shot to get the ball back, but they were penalized on 4th down for an illegal substitution, giving Auburn a first down and the game.
Bama ended up losing 48-45. The 48 points were the most ever surrendered by Alabama under Nick Saban.
Bulovas was 14/18 on field goals for the season entering the game.
Since Nick Saban's first season at Alabama in 2007, Alabama kickers have now missed 101 field goals, the most by any FBS team in that span. That's 8 more than any other team.
