Hornibrook is coming off a rather middling junior year that saw him throw 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in nine games. He also struggled with head injuries for a portion of the season. He went 26-6 as the team’s starter. 2017 will go down as his best year, as he threw for 25 touchdowns for a 13-1 team.
Wisconsin’s quarterback situation will likely be wide open after Hornibrook departs. Jack Coan got four starts last season when Hornibrook was injured, but four-star freshman recruit Graham Mertz could be a factor as well.
