Central Michigan Hail Mary ending was insane (Video)
Hardly anyone was in attendance on Wednesday at the Bahamas Bowl to witness what will easily go down as one of the best bowl games of the season.
Central Michigan came within one point of a shocking victory over Western Kentucky after the Chippewas nearly erased a 38-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Their final touchdown came on one of the most insane plays you will ever see.
CMU quarterback Cooper Rush threw a deep Hail Mary from his own 25-yard line that was hauled in by junior wide receiver Jesse Kroll. From there, the ball was lateraled three times before receiver Titus Davis sprinted to the corner of the end zone and barely broke the plane for a touchdown.
The play gave the Chippewas 34 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and brought the score to 49-48. Likely feeling that his team was exhausted, Central Michigan head coach Dan Enos went for two and the win. The play call for the two-point conversion was a disappointing fade to the corner of the end zone, and it was unsuccessful.
That was right up there with this Hail Mary as one of the best plays we have seen this season.
