Clemson WRs get shoutout from DeAndre Hopkins during CFP semifinal
DeAndre Hopkins was certainly pleased with the performance of his young apprentices during Saturday’s College Football Playoff Semifinal.
The Houston Texans star (and former Clemson Tiger) gave a shoutout to the team’s wide receivers during their Cotton Bowl game against Notre Dame.

The Tigers torched the Fighting Irish through the air in the first half with their wideouts recording 264 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Freshman Justyn Ross led the way with 137 of those yards and two of those scores, while sohpomore Tee Higgins added on perhaps the biggest highlight of the half.
The aerial assault helped Clemson jump out to a 23-3 halftime lead, stirring up further cries that Georgia, Ohio State, or UCF should have made the CFP over Notre Dame.
