Not even an hour had passed after Michigan won the national championship at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on Monday night and people were already asking Jim Harbaugh about his future.
Harbaugh was not interested in discussing his future and instead asked the media for a little time to enjoy the Wolverines’ 34-13 win over Washington. However, he seemed to slip in a separate interview when he talked about his plans for next season with Michigan.
In an interview with ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt on “SportsCenter” after the game, Harbaugh revealed the calendar he discussed with his players for Michigan’s spring practices.
“And give the guys some time too. I told them three or four days ago we’re moving spring practice back. We usually start on Valentine’s Day because we love football. But this year, we’re going to move it back. We’re moving back about a month. That’ll be good too; we’ll have some nice weather in the spring in Ann Arbor,” Harbaugh said.
SVP then brought up the postgame presser to Jim Harbaugh which led to laughs.

There has been tons of speculation that Harbaugh could leave for the NFL. The 60-year-old coach has run into trouble with the NCAA, and he and Michigan are facing potential discipline from the organization.
After winning the national championship, this could be the time for Harbaugh to move on. He even hired an agent. But despite all that speculation, Harbaugh has talked with his team like he will be back next season.
Harbaugh has been at Michigan for nine seasons. He has led the Wolverines to six double-digit win seasons, three straight CFP appearances, and now a national championship win.
