The Arizona Wildcats have reportedly offered their head coaching job to Navy’s Ken Niumatalolo.
Jason Scheer of WildcatAuthority.com reported Friday that Niumatalolo was offered the job on Thursday. He has not yet decided to take it, and even his coaching staff is in the dark about his intentions.
Arizona is expecting an answer by the end of the day, with the hope of announcing Niumatalolo and then introducing him to fans at Saturday’s basketball game.
Niumatalolo has gone 84-48 as Navy’s head coach, and has been the subject of interest from bigger schools before. Two years ago, he had an offer on the table from BYU, but ultimately opted to stay at Navy. We’ll see if his decision is different this time around.
