The College Football Playoff committee decided to put Alabama into the playoff over Ohio State, and the decision unsurprisingly did not sit well with many Buckeyes fans.

ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit, who was a quarterback at Ohio State, briefly walked off the set at ESPN while on TV following the announcement.

“I walked off and I think symbolic of what if you’re watching this and you’re just a college football fan … committee just made a statement,” he said.

Bama was the No. 4 seed behind easy choices Clemson, Oklahoma and Georgia. Ohio State, which won the Big Ten Championship by beating Wisconsin on Saturday, was the No. 5 team, while the Badgers were sixth. Everyone is in agreement that what killed Ohio State was their awful loss to Iowa, coupled with a loss earlier in the season to Oklahoma. That’s pretty much was the same point Nick Saban had made.
