Ex-USC RB Marc Tyler: Matt Barkley ‘is not that good’
Former USC running back Marc Tyler gave some harsh criticism of Trojans quarterback Matt Barkley while watching USC lose to Oregon 62-51 on Saturday.
Tyler offered his thoughts over Twitter after seeing the Trojans unable to keep up with the Ducks.

Tyler’s big mouth has been known to get him in trouble. He was suspended by the team last year for saying things he shouldn’t have during a drunken interview with TMZ. He failed to stick with an NFL team after completing a disappointing career with the Trojans.
Some fans may say his comments were made out of bitterness, but we agree with him.
Barkley entered the program as one of the most-hyped recruits in the country. A Gatorade Player of the Year coming out of high school, Barkley was supposed to follow Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart as the school’s next Heisman Trophy winner. He was shaky as a freshman, improved as a sophomore, and exploded in his junior season. And while his stats are pretty good this year, USC is 6-3 and he has thrown two interceptions in each of the losses.
Maybe we can all agree that Barkley is a very good QB, but not a special one.
H/T Game On!
