Ohio State will complete Urban Meyer investigation on Sunday

Ohio State’s investigation into the conduct of coach Urban Meyer will conclude on time.

In a new statement issued Friday by the school, it was confirmed that the investigation would finish on Sunday as scheduled. The investigators would then prepare a report of their findings next week, which will then be passed on to the Board of Trustees in a public meeting.

In other words, it is likely that we will get some clarity on Meyer’s situation within a week, as scheduled. There will be questions as to whether a two-week investigation can be sufficiently thorough, and those questions will be amplified by critics if Meyer is given the all-clear and restored to his position as head coach.
