Urban Meyer investigation expected to be completed within 14 days
A decision on the future of Urban Meyer could come sooner rather than later.
Ohio State released a statement on Sunday evening about the investigation. The statement says that former Ohio house speaker Jo Ann Davidson will head a group that investigates Meyer. The real big development they shared is that the investigation is expected to be completed within 14 days.

Meyer, who is in his seventh season as Ohio State’s head coach, is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Meyer admitted in a statement on Friday that his answer at Big Ten Media Days about his knowledge of a 2015 arrest of former Buckeyes assistant Zach Smith was insufficient. However, he says he reported to his superiors what he knew about the domestic abuse allegations Smith was facing.
The committee will be investigating what Meyer knew, when he knew it, what he reported to his bosses, and whether continuing to allow an alleged abuser to coach on his staff was a concerning enough issue that he should be removed from his position.
