Minnesota DL Ra’Shede Hageman: ‘I would eat a shark to avenge people’s deaths’

Ra'Shede-HagemanMinnesota defensive lineman Ra’Shede Hageman loves to eat, which makes perfect sense considering he is a 6-foot-6, 311-pound young man. A reporter recently asked him about food during a press conference and Hageman lit up, praising the question and breaking into a full-blown discussion about what he likes to eat.

One food group Hageman said he does not mess around with is fish. However, he said there is a certain type of fish he would eat for a very specific reason.

“I’m definitely not a fish person, I don’t like eating fish just for the fact, like, I used to catch fish and they probably eat disgusting things in the water,” Hageman explained, via Dr. Saturday. “I would eat a shark, though, because a shark kills a lot of people. So, I mean, if I eat a shark, I feel like I’d be avenging a lot of people’s deaths or whatever. Sharks are so mean.”

That’s an honorable reason to want to eat shark meat. Hageman, who also said he loves fried chicken, probably should refrain from watching one of those documentaries that shows how chickens eat each other’s crap and remains and what not. He also shared the details of a massive breakfast he likes to enjoy.

“Eggs — I’m definitely a chef when it comes to breakfast,” Hageman said. “I eat about seven eggs with some garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toast with jelly and maybe some sausages. That’ll really put you to sleep right there.”

Again, a breakfast like that makes sense for someone who weighs more than 300 pounds. When we start talking about insane fast food orders like the one Tim Lincecum puts in when he goes to In-N-Out burger, that’s when the confusion sets in.
