Tennessee State LB Christion Abercrombie remains in critical condition
Tennessee State linebacker Christion Abercrombie suffered a terrifying injury on Saturday, and his condition remained serious as of Sunday morning.
Abercrombie was taken to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery after leaving Saturday’s game at Vanderbilt with a head injury. On his radio show Sunday, Tennessee State head coach Rod Reed asked for prayers for the sophomore and said he remains in critical condition.

For what it’s worth, there was at least one positive update about the progress Abercrombie made overnight.

Abercrombie was given oxygen and taken away on a stretcher after he collapsed while coming to the sideline. Both teams were shown gathered in prayer after the game. The Illinois transfer had recorded five tackles in the game prior to exiting and entered with 13 tackles on the year. Here’s hoping he is able to make a full recovery.
