Texas gets good news on Quinn Ewers’ ankle injury
The Texas Longhorns on Sunday received some good news about Quinn Ewers.
Ewers injured his ankle in the first half of Texas’ 31-14 win over Kentucky on Saturday. The junior quarterback went into the medical tent but returned to the game and finished 20/31 for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Ewers underwent an MRI Sunday on his ankle, and according to Longhorns reporter Anwar Richardson, things look pretty good. Richardson reports that Ewers has a “mild” ankle sprain.
Good news! I’m told Texas QB Quinn Ewers only has a mild ankle sprain and will be good to go for Texas A&M on Saturday. pic.twitter.com/57u7usHq35

The Longhorns are 10-1 and have a big game ahead against rival Texas A&M at College Station on Saturday. The winner of the game will face Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.
Ewers has passed for 2,089 yards, 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions so far this season. He’s Texas’ No. 1 quarterback, though the team does have a good backup option in Arch Manning if needed.
