The Oregon Ducks received a major boost on Thursday night when they found out that Vernon Adams passed a math class, which allowed him to graduate from Eastern Washington.
Adams, who has been an All-American QB at FCS Eastern Washington the past two seasons, was seeking a graduate transfer to Oregon. The first step in that process was actually graduating from EWU, and the last step was passing a math class standing in his way.
On Thursday night, Adams received the good news:
I just got off the phone with Vernon Adams: "It is (a relief). Man it feels awesome. It feels great to earn my degree."

Adams said he hopes to go to team meetings tonight, practice for the first time with Oregon on Friday. He ended the call with: "Go Ducks!"

In an Instagram post, Adams called himself an EWU alum:
“Thank God #EwuAlum #GODUCKS #TimeToGetToWork”
Adams now has less than a month to prepare for his first game with his new team. Ironically, the Ducks’ first game of the season comes against Adams’ former team on Sept. 5 in Eugene.
