Brewers broadcast crew buys beer for fan who lost one because of foul ball (Video)

When at the stadium taking in a baseball game, there’s always the potential danger of a ball flying into the crowd. During Wednesday’s game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers, one gentleman received an up close reminder of what can happen in such an instance.

brewers-fan-replacement-beerDuring the second inning, a foul ball off the bat of Josh Thole made its way down the third base line and (as luck would have it) found a man with a cup of beer. After a collision with an overzealous fan attempting to make the catch, there wasn’t much beer left.

To make matters worse, the fan who caused the collision ended up with the ball. For what it’s worth, that was a pretty nice display of concentration to come down with the souvenir despite taking a tumble.

There was a happy ending for the fan who drew the short end of the stick in the incident, however. The Brewers broadcast crew sent the man a replacement beer in a souvenir mug. He also has quite the story to tell about his recent adventure at Miller Park.
