The FBI announced on Friday that they have the primary suspect in the shooting of Charlie Kirk in custody. The man’s name is Tyler Robinson, who is 22 years old and lives in Washington County, Utah, with his family.
Robinson has been attending Dixie Technical College in Utah and reportedly was working toward becoming an electrician. He had reportedly mentioned during a discussion with his family that Kirk would be visiting Utah Valley University. Robinson apparently had said he didn’t like Kirk’s viewpoints and stated that Kirk was “spreading hate.”
A few photos of Robinson have circulated online. One shows Robinson in what appears to be a college dorm room wearing shoes and a hat that look very similar to the ones worn in photos released by the FBI of their person of interest.

The photo of Robinson in the dorm was altered by someone to show him in a Trump shirt, but that photo is not real.

Also, unlike another rumor that has circulated, Robinson did not list a party affiliation the last time he voted.
