The San Francisco 49ers have confirmed that they are one of the teams at least checking in on wide receiver Josh Gordon.
Gordon, who is finished with the Cleveland Browns, will either be traded or released, and 49ers general manager John Lynch admitted that the team has made a phone call and is doing its due diligence on him.

Gordon is definitely a player who requires due diligence, as a lot of factors went into Cleveland’s decision to move on from him. Nothing sounds close to being completed at this point.
If the 49ers are interested in Gordon, that interest would reportedly be mutual. It’s well worth watching.
