A number of signs have been pointing toward Aaron Rodgers returning to the Green Bay Packers. A new report suggests that is the expectation around the league as well.
The “widespread belief around the league” is that Rodgers will play another season with the Packers, according to Jeff Howe of The Athletic. Rodgers still has yet to inform the Packers of his decision, but teams that have asked the Packers about a trade have been left with the impression that will not be on the table.
Other reports have suggested that Rodgers and the Packers are discussing a new contract. While that is not done yet, and is not meant to signify his final decision, it sounds like those negotiations are going very well.
Things are very different now between Rodgers and the Packers compared to what they were a year ago, when the two sides looked like they were headed for a divorce. Now a trade has been ruled out, and Rodgers looks to be leaning toward a return. A decision appears to be just a matter of time now.
