Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown had his car stolen overnight on Sunday, and he offered to help keep the thief out of trouble. It does not sound like the offer was accepted, however.
Brown shared a video on his Instagram story Monday revealing that his car was stolen at around 3:45 a.m. the night before. He offered to “make a deal” with the person who stole it, saying he would not press charges or call the police if the car was simply returned to his house.
“Come on, Philly. Come on, man. You stole my whip last night. I’ll make a deal with you, bro, to whoever you are, which I’m gonna find out soon. I’ll make a deal with you, bro. Just bring the whip back, bro. I don’t want to press charges, bro,” Brown said. “Just bring the whip back, bro, and you can go on about your day. But if I find you, come on, bro. It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.”

The vehicle was not returned voluntarily, but Brown says police tracked it down. He shared another video a short time later that he recorded while at a workout at the Eagles’ facility. Brown said the person who stole the car has to “deal with the consequences” now after not taking him up on his offer.

According to a report from FOX 29 in Philadelphia, Brown’s car was recovered in Camden, N.J. The alleged thief was taken into custody.
Brown is not the only NFL player to have his car stolen. One quarterback had the same happen to him a couple of years ago while he was doing a radio interview.
With modern technology, the thieves usually do not get very far. Brown was confident from the start that police would find his car. Perhaps the thief should have just returned it like he asked.
