AJ Green says he will play Sunday against the Broncos
The Cincinnati Bengals have dealt with numerous injuries to their key players this season, but help should be on the way if AJ Green has any control over his playing status for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
Green told reporters on Wednesday that he is ready to return to action after missing Cincy’s last three games, and he said he is confident he will be able to make plays with Jeff Driskel starting at quarterback.
A.J. Green says he will play Sunday against the Broncos. Said it won’t take long to develop chemistry with Jeff Driskel. “Just put the ball somewhere; I’ll get it,” Green said.

Andy Dalton suffered a thumb injury in last week’s loss to the Cleveland Browns that initially did not sound serious, but he was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday. Now 5-6 and losers of five of their last six games, the Bengals are quickly fading from playoff contention and may not have the personnel to compete for a postseason spot.
Green’s return will certainly help, but Cincinnati’s problems probably run too deep at this point, particularly on defense.
