Broncos releasing CJ Anderson
CJ Anderson rushed for over 1,000 yards last season and had one of the best years of his career, but it was not enough to convince the Denver Broncos that they need him going forward.
According to multiple reports, the Broncos are releasing Anderson. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network notes that they tried to trade the veteran back before cutting ties with him.
Denver had tried to trade him to no avail. https://t.co/U31mNkmofO

Anderson, who turned 27 in February, was set to make $4.5 million in 2018, which is a lot for a back who has never really been able to handle a feature role. While Anderson’s commitment to recruiting for the Broncos made it seem like he wanted to return, his production can probably be replaced in the draft and/or with cheaper options in free agency.
