One Washington Commanders player will not be seeing the field again until December.
The NFL announced Tuesday that Commanders cornerback Kevon Seymour has been suspended for six games without pay. Seymour’s suspension is due to a violation of the league’s Performance-Enhancing Substances Policy, the NFL added.
A former sixth-round pick, Seymour, 30, has played sparingly for the Commanders this season, appearing in just two games and logging one combined tackle. But before that, Seymour appeared in 31 total games over three seasons for the Baltimore Ravens. He has also played for the Buffalo Bills and the Carolina Panthers in his NFL career.
Seymour will not be eligible for reinstatement until Dec. 2 (after the Commanders face the Tennessee Titans in Week 13). But Washington should do well with or without him since they are an NFC East-leading 5-2 and recently got some decent injury news on their star rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
