Sunday’s Week 12 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md., featured an absolutely insane finish that culminated in a 34-26 Cowboys win.
To give you an idea of how crazy the fourth quarter was, Dallas led 10-9 after three quarters. 41 points were scored in the fourth quarter.
Dallas had scored twice to increase their lead to 20-9 in the fourth quarter. Washington responded with a touchdown with 3:02 left and added a 2-point conversion to make it a 20-17 game.

KaVontae Turpin responded by returning the ensuing kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown to make it 27-17. Washington got the ball back and drove into field goal range, where they decided to strategically kick a field goal without wasting too much time. They did so and made it 27-20.
Dallas got the ball and quickly went 3-and-out, though they forced Washington to use all their remaining timeouts. The Commanders got the ball back, and Jayden Daniels amazingly found Terry McLaurin for an improbable 86-yard touchdown with 21 seconds left.
Just when you thought the game was going to overtime, Austin Seibert missed the extra point following a bad snap, keeping Washington down by a point.
The Commanders then tried for an onside kick, but Juanyeh Thomas recovered the ball and then returned it 43 yards for a touchdown.
The Cowboys somehow came out with a 34-26 win to improve to 4-7 on the season. The Commanders are now 7-5 following the loss.
